I have used this product several times on previously used 3"x21" sanding belts with good success. It cleans the residue off of the old belt and makes it useful again - definitely worth the money.
This product works well on my drum sander. It also works well on my spindle sander and disc sander as well. I open the lid and then start the drum sander and lightly drag it across the abrasive on the drum. Cleans it very well. Though I use it on the downward side of the disc sander holding it an inch or so above the table so it doesn't snag between the disc and the table. It is cheaper than some of the name brands but works well.
